J announces upcoming release of self-cover album + mini-tour dates!

While he may be busy with his band, LUNA SEA, J hasn’t forgotten his own solo works. Next year will mark his 14th anniversary as a solo artist, and to celebrate, he’s releasing a self-cover album of all his singles called, “FOURTEEN -the best of ignitions-“.

Yes, it sounds a little unusual, but we’re suspecting that it’s going to be comprised of alternate takes and reinterpretations that’s sure to be pleasing for his fans.

The album will come in two versions – ‘limited edition’ and ‘regular editon’. Each will contain 14 songs, but the limted edition will include the “BURN OUT” music video on DVD; “BURN OUT” was J’s debut solo single in June 1997. The album has been scheduled for release on January 26th, 2011.

J has also planned four anniversary concerts in January, three of which are fan-club only events, but the final concert will be open to the public.

In regards to LUNA SEA’s live in L.A., he commented on his blog,

The live in L.A. is over!!! Your guys’ screams are still ringing in my ears! It’s such a great feeling! (LoL) L.A. you’re dangerous!!

I’m so thankful for everyone coming! You’re all awesome!

- J.
